HOUSE OF LECHON: WHEN IN CEBU

When going to CEBU, a must eat delicacy if you will, would be LECHON. Roasted Pig or Lechon is something that Cebuanos are very proud of. This right here might be one of their greatest contribution to mankind. Granted that there are a lot of LECHON places in CEBU, one restaurant to visit would be HOUSE OF LECHON.
Newly created to give guests and diners a place to visit and experience fine Cebuano cuisine, HOUSE OF LECHON is located right smack in the middle of the city. Just a block away from a famous mall, you will be able to try a well known version of Lechon. Roasted Pig in Cebu, is cooked in a specific way depending on the region it came from. At HOUSE OF LECHON, they serve the CARCAR way.
Going to House of Lechon isn't all about the pig. Here, they also serve different Filipino Dishes that might get your fancy. From grilled tuna belly, to stuffed peppers and even crunchy flakes, there are definitely dishes for everyone.
More so that they are able to utilize the freshness of the seafood available in their area. Trying out the baked scallops is a joy for everyone. Cooked with cheese and garlic, you won't be able to stop popping one in your mouth. The KINILAW or tuna cooked in vinegar is mixed with coconut milk to give it a fresh and sweet flavor. The contrasting elements equates to a bit of balance that is perfect for the deadly meal ahead.
Fresh Oysters are also available but this time, HOUSE of LECHON made it into a sisig. Cooked with egg and served in a sizzling plate, you won't go wrong with this.
Talking about the main event, the LECHON at HOUSE OF LECHON is the CARCAR version. A market located in the district of Carcar houses one of the major kinds of lechon that you would find on the island. Here, they use the same techniques and brought it closer to the hearts and stomachs of visitors and city goers.
The skin is crunchy and the meat is moist and a bit salty. Cebuano Lechon is usually characterized as salty and doesn't really need any sauces. Here, they serve the drippings or the juices of the roasted pig just so to give the guests an experience not easily forgotten. For adventurous diners, they might want to go for the HOT AND SPICY version. This one would make you order extra cups of rice as the heat and the flavor makes everything in your mouth work double time.
Finishing up, dessert at HOUSE OF LECHON is very colorful and somewhat close to being in a festival. You get to have ice fruit flavored candies and even cold sweet milk gelatin snacks. Perfect to take away that feeling of fullness.
 HOUSE OF LECHON is definitely worth a second visit. Just be sure of the time and the day that you go. Checking in beforehand would be able to help you avoid the heartache of not having freshly cooked lechon.

WHAT'S in the BAG?: Drinks to Start Your Day

A few days back while I was out of town, a package came and it was glorious.
 What first greeted me was this JOLLY COW FRESH MILK . Patrons of this milk brand would agree that this is one creamy drink. Being sourced from Germany, you are assured of its quality.
 The milk goes through a process in which any harmful bacteria are killed. This would also go perfect with your breakfast cereals. Yummy.
 Another surprise was the OLD ORCHARD APPLE CRANBERRY. Aside from drinking it on its own, this one right here is perfect for cocktails.
 One quick and easy mix would have to be a few parts vodka and a lot of apple cranberry to give it a fruity taste. It will definitely depend on you but, having this on the rocks makes it a joy to drink.
Surprisingly, not only are these beverages healthy but they are also delicious and perfect to start and end any day. These drinks are available at all leading supermarket in the metro.

 What became a yearly tradition, EDSA SHANGRI-LA just recently had their Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
 Located in the impressive lobby lounge, an amazing Christmas tree was set up alongside different colorful works of art.
 While waiting for the ceremony, guests and patrons were invited to indulge in Christmas treats.
 From sparkling wine to a bit of pica pica, you won't go wrong with EDSA SHANGRI-LA.
 And just like that, the tree was lit. A glorious sight at the incredible lobby of EDSA SHANGRI-LA.
 They also brought back the snow. At certain times of the day, artificial snow falls just outside the window. Perfect for a quick photo op and for patrons to reminisce and enjoy the holidays.

TSAY CHENG in CEBU: Pleasure in a Pot

CEBU is more than just Filipino food. Aside from all of the freshly grilled items, surprises are in store for guests at the GRAND CONVENTION CENTER in CEBU.
Enter TSAY CHENG, one of the premier restaurants found in Cebu. This Chinese Restaurant serves delicious dimsum and has awesome deals on claypot dishes for the traveling stomach.
Right from the start, the dimsum cart was parked right beside the table. Here, delicious siomai, chicken feet, shrimp dimsum, and other small dishes greet the guests. Aside from picking whatever dish that might get your fancy, TSAY CHENG also serves affordable rice pot dishes during weekday lunch.

A number of choice rice toppings would entice patrons to order these unique meals. Aside from the fact that they are affordable with prices that start at Php125, you have a lot of items to choose from.
Top picks would be asado, lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, and even the beef ampalaya. If you're a bit more adventurous, the spareribs with taoise, bbq duck, and braised peking duck would do the trick.
From Monday to Fridays, the special feast bowls are available to the public during lunch time. You can reserve through (032) 260-8000

AFTERNOON TEA AT MARCO POLO ORTIGAS

Sometimes tea can help you relax and enjoy life. At MARCO POLO ORTIGAS, they made afternoon tea into something more than just drinks.
The Connect Lounge in Marco Polo Ortigas now offers afternoon tea daily at 2pm-6pm. Guests are welcomed with delicious food choices and drinks as well. One could choose different tea flavors or upgrade their drinks to cocktails and even some sparkling drinks as well.
Starting off with some AMUSE BOUCHE, sherbet of the day would be presented in a glass bowl with some dry ice effect. Not too sweet, you are given a jolt when you bite into one.
At Marco Polo, you are given choices as to what kind of baguettes and toppings would be created for your afternoon tea set. It could be parsely, corn, squid ink, tomato and regular flavored bread alongside ham, shrimp, chicken and other things that you may think off.
After choosing, patrons are able to indulge into a three layered tea set. Scones are provided with whipped cream and jam.  Personal favorite would be the ham and the shrimps baguettes. For more variety, you could ask the chef to create different versions for you.
Pastries and other sweet delights are also present and could be replaced with sugar free items from their menu as well. Furthermore, a creamy and decadent chocolate fondant surprises you at the end of the meal.
The AFTERNOON TEA at MARCO POLO is good for two persons. It is available daily at 2pm-6pm at Php788.

Quick Breakfast at LES BAGELS in PODIUM.

 It seems when it comes to breakfast, rarely does BAGELS come into mind. At LES BAGELS, they try to change that.
Filipinos tend to go for the rice and egg package when it comes for the early morning meal. Recently though, more and more foodies tend to try out different delicacies from other countries like BAGELS. AT LES BAGELS, they do just that. Hoping to introduce and delight guests into trying out bagels, LES makes them affordable and of the highest quality. Aside from their main branch in McKinley, Taguig, they now have one in PODIUM.
 A number of high quality and delicious spreads are made fresh daily. This is to make sure that freshness is part of the equation. The bread is done the same way too. You get to have a soft inside and chewy outside. Perfectly done. More than just bagels, LES also has some desserts. Like home made oreos and some brownies as well.
LES BAGELS is one bakery that people craving for quick, delicious, and freshly baked food wouldn't mind going to.

BOROUGH in PODIUM: Having some fun

 It's been awhile. That is how BOROUGH at PODIUM greets me every time I visit. Opened for years, this 24/7 restaurant bar is the perfect place to visit after or before a hungover. Needless to say, BOROUGH keeps on enjoying its status as one of the best 24/7 open places to eat at in the METRO.
 Going back and seeing cookies with milk brings back memories. This classic dessert is done perfectly. Three different flavors of freshly baked cookies greets the guests alongside a small container of vanilla milk. You could do it old school or have a dunk contest. Either way, you will definitely enjoy each hot bite.
 Having shreds of onions is also a nice choice for bar chow. Aside from this, their version of french fries is a joy to eat. Another classic at BOROUGH would have to be their TOMATO SOUP and GRILLED CHEESE. IF there was one thing that you could order over and over again, it would be this dish right here. Granted that you might feel a bit awful if you eat it all in one bite, each cheesy and gooey slice must be dipped in their tomato soup. Do it to appreciate.
Since it has been awhile, BOROUGH seems to introduce some new items to the menu. Aside from salmon and salad, they also have other dishes that might tickle your fancy. The best way still to enjoy this restaurant would be to go in guns blazing and have something to restore your essence back to life. Don't get what I mean? Try getting stuck in traffic and having difficult meetings then go over at BOROUGH. GET A DRINK, cookies and something to eat. I assure you, you'll thank me. Cheers.

MARCO POLO ORTIGAS: LUNG HIN'S New Dishes

 There is a level of skill that is needed to become an excellent chef. Perseverance and effort also plays a big part in creating dishes that would make people come back for more. AT MARCO POLO'S LUNG HIN, a new executive chef took over. Expectations were more than met, they were obliterated.
Meet Chef Yeung Waai Hoi or Chef RAYMOND to friends. This guy right here has more than 26 years of Chinese Culinary experience. He has showcased his skills through an impressive and intimate lunch gathering. His passion in cooking is shown through using traditional ingredients and skill into creating something different and new.
 With great attention to detail, the meal started with some CRYSTAL DUCK TERRINE. Think pate with a gelatin top. This would wake your taste buds up.
 With a bit of herbal flavors, the DRUNKEN CHICKEN is also another solid start. The moist and tender meat is deliciously cooked.
 An eye catching dish would have to be the CHICKEN CONSOMME with CHRYSANTHEMUM TOFU. Served with matsutake mushroom, the broth is straight forward. It is smooth and unassuming. The dedication and the skill in creating this type of presentation just goes to show the level of focus they have at LUNG HIN.
 Another new dish at LUNG HIN would be the KING PRAWN with EGG. This steamed creation is surprisingly good. The egg is almost pudding like. It has a soft and fluid texture. Deliciously done.
 It was a surprise when the LAPU LAPU was presented. Deep fried and served with mango and sweet chili sauce, each bite would have the flavors of the sea. A bit crunchy on the outside but very soft inside.
The new dimsum dishes were crowd favorites. The reddish wrapped dimsum would explode in your mouth. As you take one bite, you taste a hint of truffle and different vegetables that created the stuffing. The chef, thinking ahead, do not use artificial flavoring and coloring. Everything is natural.
The SEAFOOD PUMPKIN DUMPLING is not to be missed.
 A little late for halloween, these pumpkin shaped balls are crunchy outside but has a gelatinous texture. Kidding aside, one is not enough. You might catch yourself getting the next one, then the next. It is a bit addicting.
To end the meal, FRIED RICE with ASPARAGUS and FIVE SPICE PORK was served. Not overly oily, this is a treat.
For dessert, the SNOW SKIN MOONCAKE was pretty good. Covered with matcha flavored mochi like wrap, monggo is basically its filling. One bite and you are greeted with a cold touch. The consistency is just perfect.
MARCO POLO'S LUNG HIN has done it again. With their new executive chef, guests are assured of delicious creation and an enjoyable meal.

16th GRAND WINE EXPERIENCE: Unlimited Alcohol and Delicious Dishes.

It was a feast like no other. Different high end alcoholic drinks were on display and right there for the taking. Enter the 16th GRAND WINE EXPERIENCE: The Noble Grape.
Recently held at the GRAND BALLROOM of the Marriot in the Resorts World Compound, a plethora of drinks lined up the entire ballroom. It was an attack on the senses.
As you enter, you are greeted by the red carpet and loads of delicious and quality dishes. From fresh shrimp cocktails to pecking duck wraps and even boat loads of steak.
Furthermore, rice and other carbs are present to help the guests cope with the unlimited number of drinks and alcohol variants in the venue.
Thankfully, there was also different kinds of cheese, sausages and TXANTON was even there to provide high quality meat.
More than just being a high profile party, patrons get to indulge and experience what their favorite drinks are all about. One could and should go around and talk to the vendors and their representatives to get a feel of the best of the best.
A tip would have to be to go walk from one end to another just to scout possible drinks that you may want to try.
More than just wine, they also had whisky brands and even sparkling drinks.
Personally, the HOEGAARDEN is one of my top beer choices.
More so when they introduced the ROSEE FLAVOR. This may seem to be a ladies' drink but believe me when I say it doesn't taste like normal beer. The sweetness and the mild strokes are just perfect.
Speaking off, sweet tooth lovers are also welcome. They are greeted by unlimited sources of sugar such as this chocolate table!
This 16th version of the GRAND WINE EXPERIENCE is nothing short of spectacular. The drink choices are too many to mention. Other than that, the food is also delicious. This is a fine time for wine lovers and alcoholic drinkers indeed.

PRO TIP: Come in early so that you could take your time and check out the different station on your pace. Speaking of such, don't rush. Enjoy each sip. If it becomes a bit too crowded, go out of the room and take a breather at one of the couches. Cheers.

EDSA SHANGRI-LA HOTEL: SUMMER PALACE IS BACK!

SUMMER PALACE in EDSA SHANGRI-LA is back! Delicious Chinese Cuisine could now again be enjoyed in the beautifully newly re-opened Chinese Restaurant.
The new interiors were designed in such a way that would exude a relaxed ambiance with a bit of sophistication. Private dining rooms are also present and are perfect for small gatherings and meetings.
TO start off, different types of buns are available for the guests to munch on. Aside from the usual pork flavor, they also created a seafood version made with squid ink and some shrimps.
TO celebrate the re-opening of SUMMER PALACE, the chef has created a few dishes to welcome everyone back. Appetizers such as the oven-baked shrimps and eggtart in wasabi sauce was perfectly executed. The Raddish Rolls are puffy and tastes wonderful especially if you mix it with their XO sauce. The Scallops with eggs is indulgent. Everyone's favorite though would be the Minced Seafood and Pomelo. The cripsy dough works well with the seafood mix and wasabi sauce.
For this set, two version of KUROBUTA PORK was presented. The "MACA" soup and another cooked in mamak sauce.
The soup was very smooth and light. According to some it is an aphrodisiac and has some health benefits as well.
Another crowd favorite, the US KUROBUTA PORK in MAMAK SAUCE was savory and has a bit of sweet touch in it. Partnering it with crispy mushrooms was a stroke of genius.
Surprisingly, the ROASTEAD PECKING DUCK was served already sliced up. To accompany it. different flavors of pancake wraps were presented. Flavors such as beet, pandan and pumpkin were somewhat different in a good way.
The meat itself was succulent and delicious. There was a distinct flavor that stays in your mouth making you crave for more.
A playful way to eat dessert, the chef introduced the SNOW MAN and the BABY DUCK bun alongisde the chilled lemongrass jelly with sherbet. The lemongrass jelly was refreshing and a cool way to end the meal.
Welcome back SUMMER PALACE.

Just a week or so back, AIR ASIA PHILIPPINES launched the #HOWIFLY Promotions.
Media outfits, guests, and online personalities were invited to witness the partnership of AIR ASIA PHILIPPINES with different groups to help save the environment. BY creating awareness, AIR ASIA PHILIPPINES aims to teach travelers to be more responsible with how they treat nature.
AIR ASIA also would like to invite the public in joining them to help save mother earth.

The progression of alcohol has never been so fun and easy. As students, we started off with chugging and drinking whatever drinks we could get our hands on. At RAFFLES' Long Bar, we are introduced to quality drinks that are delicious and world class.
When one enters, you are greeted by a long bar filled with high end alcohol drinks that could make your liver proud. Stepping up a bit, you are greeted by RAFFLE'S very own gin. Yes, they are part of an elite fewthat has their own liquor named and created for them.
One whiff and you are greeted by a sensual odor. Very smooth and delicate, that is what the SIPSMITH RAFFLES 1915 GIN is all about.
Award winning and bespoke bar tenders partnered with the LONG BAR to create delicious worth while drinks that makes you go back for more.
Aside from the flavor, it's all about the presentation. Our eyes taste the drinks first then our nose and lastly our mouth. At RAFFLES' LONG BAR, they make sure it's a thrill for the senses.
Aside from the cocktails, creative dishes welcomes the guests. This Grapes with cheese pizza is weird but to die for. Works well with the different flavors of the cocktails.
IF there was one thing guests have learned, it would be to stay at the bar. Talking to bar tenders and drink mixologists creates a different kind of experience. It adds to the way you interpret and drink that delicious mix.
New drinks would include the SOUTH EAST TEMPTATION, SMITH JULEP, JASMINE, PEARL OF THE ORIENT SLING, and GARDEN SLING.
Hands down a crowd favorite the SMITH JULEP is fruity and light. Garnished with a black tea bag, the citrus flavors come out perfectly.
On the other hand, the JASMINE is filled with pineapple flavors and some orange liquor. The product is a sophisticated lime mix that goes well with the gin.
All of these drinks won't be able to provide the same level of taste and quality if not for the RAFFLES' SIPSMITH. The hotel's very own gin. Elegant and with a hint of sophistication, you won't be satisfied with just a sip.

DONA ELENA X 49 B Heirloom Kitchen: New dishes to try!

DONA ELENA is one of those brand that you will forever love. Ideal for cooking and is perfect for a healthy meal, DONA ELENA partnered with 49 B Heirloom Kitchen to create a menu like no other.
49-B Heirloom Kitchen is the brain child of Chef Erica Aquino and her family. Originally located along Scout Tobias, it now settled in its bigger home along Scout Gandia in Quezon City. Inspired by the family's collection of recipes handed down through the generations, Chef Erica knows what she is doing.
 With the help of Dona Elena Olive Oils, 49B Heirloom was able to start things off with a bang. The Grilled Shrimp on Patacones was served with chilled cucumber yogurt soup. Patacones are made with twice fried plantain slices that gives the shrimp a bit of sweet touch. The cucumber soup was refreshing.
The Olive and Chorizo stuffed Roast Chicken had a bit of Mediterranean flavors in it. The olive flavor wasn't too overwhelming that it blended well with the chorizo. It gave a different layer of flavor for the moist and tender chicken.
 Reminisce of Kaldereta, the CUBAN BEEF STEW did well to bring out the different flavors of the black beans and fried saba. Served with yellow rice, guests are delighted with each bite.
 A crowd favorite, the TILAPIA FILLET was smooth. The red onions and relish went well with the chimichurri and warm greek orzo salad. Some might be hesitant to give it a try but after one forkful, you'll understand why it can be an easy favorite.
Simple as it looks, the CHEESE PANNA COTTA is a winner. It was a brilliant stroke to use Dona Elena's Olive oil with lemon zest as a "sauce" to a delicious dessert.

BEEFY'S NEW YORK GRILL in NUVALI: A dose of meat

When in doubt, always go for burgers. At BEEFY'S NEW YORK GRILL, one can't help but check out the different dishes that they have to offer. From burgers to small plates and even delicious dessert, guests will be full to the rim.
Located in SOLENAD 3, BEEFY'S is the newest addition to a list of burger places one should give a try. Right from the start, imported beer and even local craft ones were served to get a relaxed feel.
Appetizers like the CHILI CON NACHOS and the CHIMICHURRI FRIES would be able to draw you in. The nachos are served with an incredible dose of cheesy dip. The fries, on the other hand, are prepared for bite sized appetite.
If you are up for something addicting the SPAM CHIPS and the TEMPURA BACON would do the trick.
Properly coated and seasoned, the spam chips might catch you off guard. One bite and you will be hooked. The BACON TEMPURA is dressed in such a way that it gives a bit of crunch right from the start. The bacon itself isn't too salty and is perfect for deep frying.
If in case one might want something healthy, the MRS TSO might be for you. Chopped romaine with some chopped chicken, the sweet peppers and onions works well with the sriracha dressing.
Wings are an essential part of any grill or burger place. Thankfully, BEEFY'S has a few to offer any hungry crowd.
For something a dry rub, one might go for the ALADEEN. Spiced with cumin and coriander,  one dip in the garlic cilantro cream would do the trick. The crowd favorite though would be the GARLIC SRIRACHA PARMESAN. Heavily coated with a spicy and salty dressing, the chicken's skin and meat has absorbed the perfect flavors of the cheese and the hot sauce.
Hand held dishes such as dogs, burgers and sandwiches are the back bone of BEEFY'S.
One can never deny the behemoth of a burger that is named BEEFY'S TRIBECA. Triple patty, with triple emmenthal cheese and bacon jam, this burger is a heart attack on a plate.
The beef used at BEEFY'S are US ANGUS PATTIES. As such, patrons would be guaranteed of their delicious nature.  IF one likes something of the past, the NOTORIOUS might be for you. Covered with cheese and a mix of peppers and onions, this one is a bingo.
For some, burgers are only complete if they have eggs in them. Thankfully, BEEFY'S got your back as they serve the bacon covered THE EMPIRE.
Variety is a strong suit of this restaurant. If burgers and dogs aren't for the guests, they also have sandwiches. Pork lovers would enjoy the HOGBOY. Pulled pork is served with chimichurri and some cole slaw.
If there was one sandwich to try, it would be the TSO FRIED CHICKEN. Squeezed between toasted bread, the chicken fillet is deep fried and accompanied by cole slaw and the special sauce.
Hands down, for a rice meal, the TAPA is perfectly done. In house bacon were cured and molded into becoming serious TAPA. One would wish that they sell this in the supermarket after one bite.
Sweet endings are tastefully done with S'mores, Bananacotta and the Waffle. Classics that are well received and definitely a must to finish the meal.

 With less than a month to go, RESORTS WORLD MANILA has presented a grande way to welcome the Christmas Season. The Tree Lighting Ceremony, recently held in the grand open area of the Newport Mall, marks the start of something new at Resorts World Manila.
 Guests were entertained with different performances from prestigious choirs and even musical casts of up and coming shows to be presented in the Newport Mall.
 A huge tree greeted guests and patrons. IT was perfectly designed and shined bright like a diamond.
 A celebration won't be complete without cocktails. A couple of pica-pica and drinks were passed around the crowd.
Resorts World Manila has a lot in store for the coming season. Different shows are on the lists and other great surprises awaits its guests. Congratulations Resorts World Manila.

VICTORIA COURT PASIG: The Force Is Strong

It was as if I was a kid again. A playground for the senses, VICTORIA COURT'S SPACE WARS themed room definitely hits home. The iconic line "IN A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY", started to blow into my imagination. I felt giddy and excited all in one go.
With the anticipation of the upcoming STAR WARS film, ROGUE ONE, patrons of Victoria Court queue over this MILLENIUM FALCON look alike.

Right from the get go, a futuristic garage would greet guests. The anteroom upstairs was designed as if you are in the armory. Blasters are on standby and even a couple of Jedi cloaks are prepared. Some role playing might be in order as these props are removable and maybe borrowed. 
Moving into the main room, an automatic door would suddenly open for you. There is a spacious floor area where tables and chairs may be set up. Perfect for a small gathering, a huge flat screen tv doubles as a karaoke  machine. A luxurious jacuzzi is situated right in the middle.

On the right side sits the iconic cockpit. Surrounded by a couple of lcd monitors and blinking lights, it's as if you're getting ready for something special. Aside from being aesthtically spot on, the knobs are functional. Some would play sound bites while others serve as light switches to different areas of the room. The chairs are also ergonomic and comfortable. A noteworthy function of this cockpit would be that it actually moves. With the right amount of forward thrust, guests could steer it up and down.

The bedroom has its own charm. As if situated in one of the outer galleys, stars serve as the nightlight. Comfortable and relaxing, one can't help but take a quick nap. There are a couple of easter eggs that some fans would find charming. A life sized poster of Boba Fett and the frozen Han Solo are there to be discovered.
Aside from different themed rooms, VICTORIA COURT wants to invite guests to try their new dishes.
 For something light, SISIG TACOS are a great bar chow. Crunchy and a bit oily as they are, an alternative would be the TOFU.

These dishes would go well with a couple of ice-cold beers. Their Japanese flavored dog is another snack that is a must try. Topped with nori and other seasoning, the dog is flavorful and reminisce of a Japanese snack.

 For something to share, the Daddy’s BBQ Pizza might be your best bet. It has a crunchy base and has a smoky taste.

Aside from the classic favorite crispy pata, the SIZZLING BULALO might be able to tempt you more. Served with rich gravy, the meat is tender and delicious. It is perfect to go with a cup of rice.

Gone are the traditional notions that VICTORIA COURT is just a love motel. This is a creative alternative venue to host a party or even a corporate event. The quality of food was ramped up and the service definitely spot on.

CITY OF DREAMS MANILA: NOBU and its Buffet.

 It never ceases to amaze me. Simple and straightforward as it seems, the NOBU BUFFET is one of the best Japanese Buffet in the metro.
 Guests are greeted by a long line of fresh sashimi and sushi rolls to delight even the pickiest eater.
 Aside from the delicious Japanese pancake, soup and sea bass dishes, guests are treated with pass around plates like this amazing shrimp popper. Properly coated and marinated, these crunchy shrimps are delightful.
 A couple more stations that needs a lot of attention from patrons would be the grilling and the carving station.
 Freshly cooked, selection of seafood, vegetables and meat are prepared in a simple manner. Sauces are made exclusively for these sticks. Be ready to mix and match so that you're able to maximize the dishes' flavorful profile.
 Another must visit area of the buffet would be the carving station. TO give NOBU a bit of Filipino flair, they chose to serve their in house lechon or roasted pig. Diners are asked which part of the meat they would love. The crunchy skin are aplenty and the insides are moist and tender.
 Dessert is an important part of the meal. In NOBU, they take care of this properly.
Aside from cakes and other pastries, they specialize in creating their own ice cream blends. From different flavors to even truffle parfait, guests are assured of variety.
The most luxurious dessert would have to be the matcha fountain. Decadent and indulgent, you could pick from different fruits to dip into this concoction.
Admittedly, the NOBU buffet isn't as big as it's competitors. What they lack in quantity, they make up in quality and the flavors of each dish they produce.

 The holiday season is now officially launched in SHANGRI-LA MAKATI. Just a few days ago, guests were treated to the tree lighting ceremony.
 A small program was in place and a lot of patrons were welcomed to join in. 
A preview of the upcoming nut-cracker show took place to lure guests. Aside from a wonderful evening, everyone was treated to snacks and drinks.
 Shangri-la's GM Alain Borgers and Cristine Jacob headed the event.
